Job Description
A caring and inclusive specialist SEN school in Yeovil is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher for an immediate start. This welcoming school supports learners with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, global developmental delay, and communication challenges.
Working with small class sizes and supported by a team of dedicated teaching assistants and therapists, the SEN Teacher will deliver a highly personalised curriculum that supports both academic and life skills development.
The successful candidate will plan and lead engaging, differentiated lessons using creative strategies tailored to EHCP outcomes and individual targets. You will work closely with families and external agencies and be part of a staff team that values empathy, collaboration, and resilience.
You must hold QTS and have experience teaching children with SEND, ideally in a special school setting. A good understanding of sensory integration, AAC, or social communication approaches will be highly beneficial. A current enhanced DBS is required.
