SEN Teacher – Nuneaton
Location: Nuneaton
Daily Rate: £155 – £200
Employment: Long-term to permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education is seeking a qualified and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Nuneaton, supporting Lower KS2 children with complex needs. This is a full-time role with PPA cover provided, and planning and marking are essential.
The school caters to children with:
✅ Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
✅ Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
✅ Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
✅ Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
✅ Challenging Behaviour
About the Role:
Teaching a small class (8–11 pupils) with tailored learning plans.
Planning, designing, and delivering an innovative and engaging curriculum.
Providing PPA cover and supporting other staff where needed.
Working closely with colleagues to promote students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Tracking progress and supporting students with complex behavioural needs.
Ensuring students access the National Curriculum, focusing on English, Maths, and Science.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or willingness to work towards it.
Experience working with children with additional needs, including mental health and behavioural challenges.
Passion for alternative education methodologies and a commitment to holistic student development.
Strong knowledge of Science teaching is desirable.
A proven track record of raising attainment and supporting challenging behaviour.
Additional Information:
Must have the right to work in the UK.
Subject to two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check (we can assist with the application process).
