About the Role:
GSL Education is actively seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant for immediate placement at schools in Hedge End. We are looking for someone who is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment and who can assist in the holistic development of students with special needs.
The school is seeking someone who can start ASAP!
SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
Implement strategies to support students with diverse special needs particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs to help them reach their maximum potential.
Cooperating with teachers and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants to foster an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
Utilising various methods to encourage positive behaviour and active participation in learning activities.
Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting with behaviour management and fostering a sense of belonging among students.
Offer personalised one-on-one assistance to students with special needs.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant role:
Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs.
Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
A patient and nurturing approach to working with children.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies.

Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
