SEN Teaching Assistant | Year 9 | Secondary School | Wandsworth | London | £105-£115 per day | Long Term Role | Starting ASAP
The Opportunity:
Support Year 9 students in achieving academic progress across all subjects
Well-resourced mainstream secondary school with a strong inclusion team
Collaborative role working closely with the SENCo and teaching staff
Long-term career development opportunities
Full-time role, Monday to Friday, paid up to £115 per day, term time only
Based in Wandsworth, London, with excellent transport links
Immediate start, with potential for a long-term placementKey Responsibilities:
Support the SENCo by helping to plan and deliver effective strategies for students who need extra help.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to Year 9 students, especially those with special educational needs (SEN).
Help manage classroom behaviour to create a calm and focused learning environment.
Assist students with staying on task, understanding lesson materials, and completing coursework.
Work closely with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed. Who We're Looking For:
A minimum Level 3 qualification (essential).
Experience helping in secondary schools or working with students who need extra support - Special Educational Needs.
A kind, patient, and flexible attitude when working with young people.
Great at communicating and working well with teachers, students, and families.
Someone who can motivate and support students, helping create a positive and encouraging classroom.
