Quokka Education is looking for resilient, supportive, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to work in our partner secondary schools in Winchester. Roles are available to start September 2025, on a full-time and part-time basis.
Whether you’ve worked in youth work, support roles ,care, sports coaching, or you're graduating this summer, we want to hear from you!
No classroom experience? That’s okay!
We offer full support, free online CPD, and taster days to help you confidently transition into the classroom.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support students in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups
* Help pupils with SEND (including autism, ADHD, SEMH) to access learning and feel included
* Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage confidence and engagement
* Assist with emotional regulation, communication, and behaviour
* Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to create a safe, inclusive environment
We're Looking For:
* Individuals with any background working with young people – youth workers, teaching assistants, care workers, tutors, mentors, sports coaches, etc.
* People who are empathetic, patient, and adaptable
* Those who are passionate about helping young people thrive in education
