SEN Teaching Assistant | Newham | Temp Perm Paid| Trial Days An outstanding SEND school based in Newham, East London, are on the hunt for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated and experienced team on a long term to permanent basis. Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Start: ASAP Location: E16, Newham Contract: Full Time (Ongoing) Pay: £95 - £110 Per Day (PAYE or Umbrella) Setting: Primary School Interview: Paid Trial Days Job Description The school is a mixed school catering for pupils aged between 4 - 11 years old with Autism ADHD and Dyslexia. Most pupils also have Autism and additional physical/sensory disabilities. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be co-ordinating with various healthcare professional and class teachers. Ensuring that all pupils have the best support. The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods. Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
