SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £83 - £100 per day
GSL Education are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a SEN Secondary School team located in Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire, starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by providing personalised support to students with a variety of additional learning needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 and small group support to students in classroom.
Work in partnership with teachers, families, and external professionals.
Assist teaching staff in lesson delivery and encourage active student participation.
Implement strategies to support the student's emotional, social, and academic development.
Promote independence while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
Right to work in the UK.
Interest in supporting children and young people with SEN.
Previous experience in an SEN support role, ideally within a school environment.
Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one through GSL Education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
