Job Description
Part-Time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Havant
GSL Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive nursery setting in Havant. This role focuses on providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, ensuring they receive tailored assistance to thrive in their early educational journey.
Position Details:
Location: Havant
Contract: Fixed Term until 31st July 2025
Hours: 16 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Salary: Pro rata £8,886 per annum (Full-Time Equivalent: £24,027)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child, implementing their Individual Education Plan (IEP) effectively.
Collaborate with the SENCO and behaviour management teams to ensure the child's needs are met.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with colleagues regarding the child's progress.
Engage with external professionals or agencies involved in supporting the child and their family.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), preferably in an early years setting.
An early year’s qualification is desirable.
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting individual needs.
Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
Experience working with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) is advantageous.
