Role as a SEN Teaching Assistant
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work one-to-one with a student in Year 6 who has ADHD. You’ll play a key role in helping them manage focus, behaviour, and transitions, supporting both their academic progress and emotional development as they prepare for secondary school.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Providing consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with ADHD in Year 6
* Helping to implement structured routines and learning strategies
* Supporting the student’s emotional regulation and classroom engagement
* Assisting the class teacher in adapting learning materials and managing behaviour
* Liaising with SENCO, class staff, and parents to monitor progress
* Engaging in CPD and contributing to a collaborative school environment
