SEN Teaching Assistant

This is a full-time, temporary position ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting students with SEMH and associated behavioural or emotional challenges. Your Role:
• Work closely with students with SEMH needs, providing 1:1 and group support
• Implement behaviour support strategies and individual education plans (IEPs)
• Support emotional regulation and build pupils’ confidence and self-esteem
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
• Monitor progress and adapt support according to individual needs
Ideal Candidate:
• Experience supporting children with SEMH in educational or care settings
• Calm, empathetic, and consistent approach to behaviour management
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional resilience
• Team player with a genuine passion for inclusive education
• Relevant training such as Team Teach or de-escalation techniques is an advantage
