SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? You’ll be joining a vibrant SEN team that works collaboratively to provide tailored learning experiences and meaningful support to pupils with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting students with SEN in both classroom and 1:1 settings
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt and deliver learning strategies
• Helping to create an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environment
• Encouraging emotional regulation and positive social interactions
• Tracking progress and contributing to Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets
Candidate requirements:
• Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Relevant SEN qualifications or training (e.g., Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent)
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
• A desire to support each learner as an individual
