The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a passionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11–14 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a specialist SEN school in Hackney. You’ll be supporting students both one-to-one and in small groups, helping to implement EHCP targets and build positive relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviours. This SEN Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored learning, assist with communication and emotional regulation strategies, and provide consistent, nurturing support. Some students are non-verbal and require a visual and sensory-based approach.
