SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about transforming the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Do you have the creativity, patience and dedication to help pupils with special needs thrive? Teach Now is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Enfield, looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in ASD.
Nestled in beautiful extensive grounds, this school is a haven for outdoor learning, providing the perfect environment for students to explore, discover, and grow. With a strong ethos of care, ambition, and inclusion, this primary school is home to happy, enthusiastic pupils who genuinely enjoy their school day—and staff who go above and beyond to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
This is not just a job—it’s a chance to make a meaningful impact every day. You’ll work closely with classroom teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to support students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing tailored support, encouragement, and structure to help children with ASD access learning and develop confidence.
What Makes This Role Unique
• A dynamic, outdoor-rich curriculum that supports holistic development
• A school community that values collaboration, empathy, and creativity
• Supportive leadership who invest in professional development and staff wellbeing
• An opportunity to work with a team that genuinely celebrates diversity and inclusion
Requirements
• Experience working with children with ASD is highly desirable, though not essential—a caring and proactive attitude is key
• Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
If you're ready to start making a difference in a school that recognises the power of inclusive education, we’d love to hear from you.
