Location: Harrow.
Pay Rate: £25-£35 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 5-30 hours per week
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | In-Person
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-to one personalised tuition in Maths and/or English adapting lessons to meet the student's learning profile.
Use SEN-informed teaching strategies to keep lessons engaging, accessible and confidence-building.
Support the student's academic progress while helping them develop self-esteem and resilience.
Collaborate with families or professionals when necessary to ensure continuity of care and learning.
Track and report on progress in a way that reflects both academic gains and personal development.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Maths and English.
Extensive experience working with children or young people with SEN.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Qualifications:
PGCE and/or Qualified Teacher Status.
Experience working with students with EHCP's or in alternative or therapeutic education settings.
Knowledge of behavioural or communication strategies, including visual timetables or sensory tools.If you're an empathetic, experienced SEN practitioner who understands that progress isn't always linear but is always possible, this role will allow you to make a direct and lasting difference in a young person's life.
