Job Description
A respected and nurturing secondary school in Bridgewater is seeking a dedicated SENCO to lead its SEND provision starting in September. The school has a strong reputation for inclusivity, student wellbeing, and positive outcomes for learners with additional needs.
As SENCO, you will be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing strategic development and day-to-day operation of SEND provision. Your responsibilities will include managing the SEND register, coordinating EHCP reviews, supporting classroom differentiation, and maintaining strong relationships with families and outside agencies.
The school has a dedicated SEND team and a collaborative approach to inclusion that supports staff at every level. There is a clear commitment to CPD and leadership growth for the successful candidate.
Applicants must hold QTS and have experience working with SEND in a leadership capacity. The NASENCO qualification is essential or must be in progress. Excellent communication, a solution-focused mindset, and deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice are required. An enhanced DBS is essential.
