Job Description

Position: Level 3 Nursery Practitioner with SEND Experience Location: Kensington and Chelsea Salary: From 14.00 per hour DOE Type: FTC or Permanent Hours: 40 per week A well-established nursery in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a fantastic full-time opportunity (40 hours per week) for a passionate and dedicated early years professional to join a warm and inclusive setting. About the Role: The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education and care, with a focus on supporting children with additional needs. They will be confident in adapting their approach to meet individual learning styles and will contribute to a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. Key Responsibilities: * Provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment for all children * Deliver tailored support for children with SEND, especially those with ASD * Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS * Build strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external professionals * Contribute to support plans and maintain accurate records * Ensure all safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed Candidate Requirements: * A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education * Demonstrated experience supporting children with SEND, ideally including ASD * Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) * Excellent communication and teamwork skills * A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach What the Nursery Offers: * A friendly and supportive working environment * A genuine focus on staff wellbeing and mental health * Regular staff socials and team-building activities * Extensive additional training and career development opportunities * A well-resourced, inclusive setting with a child-centred approach to learning This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and caring practitioner to join a dedicated team making a real difference in children’s lives.
