Special educational needs learning support assistant – Newark
We are working with a fantastic special educational needs’ school in the Newark area to find experienced, enthusiastic and naturally caring experienced teaching assistants.
As a SEND Teaching assistant – these are some of the special educational needs you may come across in the schools we work with -
ASD (Autism)
ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)
MLD (Mild learning difficulties)
SLD (Severe learning difficulties)
SEMH (Social, emotional mental health)
To be a successful SEND teaching assistant, you will need –
To have sensitivity and understanding
To be patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
To have active listening skills
To be able to look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare.
To be flexible and open to change
To have excellent verbal communication skills
To be able to adapt teaching support according to student's needs.
Other essential requirements include:
Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the update service is an advantage but we can apply for one for you if needed.
Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
Professional reference checks.
CV must cover the last 5 years of employment history where possible.
Legal right to work in the UK.
