Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting SEND pupils in a primary setting?
Provide Education are recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for full-time, long-term role at a welcoming primary school in Halifax. This opportunity involves 1:1 support for a child in EYFS with a high level of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 learning and emotional support to an EYFS pupil with ASC
*
Follow and implement the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
*
Support the wider class and teacher as required
*
Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
*
Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour
Requirements:
*
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly ASC and SEMH
*
Knowledge of EYFS and the primary curriculum is desirable
*
Strong communication skills and a patient, caring nature
*
A proactive and flexible approach to working within a school setting
*
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
*
Two professional references and completion of our registration process, including a video interview
