The school is nothing short of sensational. The school continues to be rated as Outstanding by Ofsted, who recently reviewed the school, making points about the excellent atmosphere of the school and the exceptional teaching standards. The school is a SEND school catering for secondary age pupils and is based a short distance from Derby city centre. It is a school that I personally have had a wonderful working relationship with, having appointed many satisfied teaching assistants into roles with this organisation.
Vacancy Details:
* This is a full time position for a SEND specialist teaching assistant.
* The role will be classroom based for the majority, which will consist of small class sizes with the teacher always present, as well as support from other TA’s.
* The role will require 1:1 support of pupils which will involve educational, pastoral and behavioural support.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
* A teaching assistant qualification of at least L2, L3 preferred
* Experience of providing TA support in a SEND school based setting for at least 1 term
* Full enhanced DBS certificate
* Completion of the Merit Education Onboarding Process
* The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teaching assistant
* A minimum of 2 school based references
