An award-winning consultancy is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its dynamic Cardiff studio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and confident technician ready to lead the technical delivery of high-quality residential projects from concept through to completion. This RIBA-chartered practice operates across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, education, and leisure.
The successful Senior Architectural Technician will take ownership of the technical design and coordination of a variety of residential schemes, playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of each project.
Skills, Responsibilities and Experience for the role of Senior Architectural Technician:
Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology
Strong technical experience in residential projects
Able to produce detailed drawings and technical packs
Main contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
Lead technical work through all project stages (especially RIBA 3-5)
Ensure designs meet UK Building Regulations and housing standards
Guide and support junior team members
Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver quality projects
Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD
Good knowledge of construction methods and materials
Confident managing deadlines and team coordination
Strong communicator and problem solver
