We are looking for a Biomedical Scientist to join a Histology team based in their private laboratories. You will be able to demonstrate your post-HCPC registration experience in Histology and participate in the production of histology sections for microscopic examination which includes biopsy/specimen transfer, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, special stains, microscopy and frozen sections.

Requirements
* BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
* HCPC registered.
* Working at a Senior/Band 7 level.
* Experience in Histology is essential.
* Completed IBMS specialist portfolio.
* MSc is desirable.
Responsibilities
* Practice and maintain HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
* Following laboratory policies and procedures inline with ISO 15189 and UKAS accreditation.
* Conduct unsupervised routine and complex investigations and analysis if tissue samples.
* Carry out tasks relating to the day to day organisation and delivery of the pathology services.
* Liaising with Pathologists for the introduction and development of new techniques.
* Assist the Service Lead in with departmental policies and procedures to ensure efficient delivery of Histology services.
* Assist the Service Lead with strategies for training and development of all staff.
