Senior Bridge Engineer
Location: London
Are you ready to play a key role in delivering innovative civil and bridge engineering projects? Our client is expanding their team and seeking a motivated Senior Engineer to join them. Based in London this is your opportunity to drive high-quality projects, manage critical tasks, and support the development of junior engineers.
The Role:
Lead and contribute to bridge design, strengthening, repair, inspections, and assessments.
Provide civil and structural engineering support across diverse teams.
Assist in conducting feasibility studies and options appraisals.
Prepare and review specifications, reports, and health and safety risk assessments.
Contribute to the development and review of CDM documentation, including Pre-Construction Information Packs.
Review design drawings and support the preparation of fee estimates.
Mentor and support junior team members, helping to foster their professional growth.Requirements:
Chartered status or working towards it with the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng MICE) or Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE).
Solid experience in bridge design, maintenance, and assessment.
Familiarity with Eurocodes and/or sector-specific standards (e.g., Network Rail standards, DMRB).
Proficiency in finite element analysis software and a good understanding of parametric design techniques.
Strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of managing project costs.
Excellent report-writing, communication, and client-handling skills.
A proactive approach to taking on new challenges and a passion for mentoring others.
