Job Description
Senior Component Engineer
Carbon60 is seeking an experienced Component Engineer to join their client's expanding team based in Stevenage. This role will play a crucial role in supporting the engineering components department and the wider business through the completion of administration activities, technical expertise and dedication to maintain data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and respond to support queries related to components and parts
Manage, maintain and update component data, including life cycle status, export control, compliance ensuring compliance with regulations (REACH/RoHS)
Work within established departmental processes to complete administrative tasks
Provide technical advice and support for electronic, electrical, mechanical, or material commodities
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the teamThe ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge and experience working with components and parts
An engineering degree or relevant technical background
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word
Strong attention to detail and a high concern for order and quality
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
Excellent communication skills to liaise with key stakeholdersAbout the role:
6 month contract (likely to be extended)
Pay rate: £50 per hour (Umbrella) / £38.15 per hour (PAYE)
Location: StevenageThis is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company and play a vital role in their component engineering operations. Please note this role will require Security Clearance (SC) as part of the on-boarding process.
