Job Description
Senior Design Technician
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting with the appointment of a Senior Design Technician to join our client based in the Gateshead. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing company within the UK construction industry, to play a pivotal role leading quality assurance, manufacturing coordination and process refinement.
Main responsibilities:
* Develop detailed Tekla Structures for structural elements.
* Oversee feasibility of fabrication for efficient production.
* Lead troubleshooting activities between engineering and manufacturing.
* Conduct final QA checks on drawings and models before manufacturing processes.
* Assist in training of other technicians.
* Develop and refine workflows and templates.
* Feedback to engineers and designers on design improvements.
Requirements:
* HNC/HND or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Draughting, or a related field
* Knowledge of fabrication processes, materials and Eurocode compliance
* Leadership/management experience in team coordinating and training – desirable.
* Able to identify and resolved detailing and manufacturing issues.
