Location: Multiple sites across North Yorkshire
Rate: £30/hour via Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Contract: 3 Months with a chance of extension | 37 hours/week
Client: North Yorkshire Council
Overview:
Join North Yorkshire Council’s Centralised Property Function and help manage a complex estate of over 3,000 assets. You’ll lead on a large portfolio, delivering estate strategies, driving income, and ensuring assets support key services.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead on management of a large, mixed-use property portfolio
*
Maximise rental income, manage acquisitions/disposals, and lease agreements
*
Deliver key property projects with internal teams and external partners
*
Ensure compliance, safety, and sustainability across the estate
*
Line manage property professionals and support apprentices/graduate surveyors
*
Support the development of the Council’s Asset Management Strategy
Essential Skills & Experience:
*
MRICS qualified with strong estates/property management background
*
Experience in public sector or large, complex estate portfolios
*
Strong commercial, negotiation, and leadership skills
*
Excellent understanding of property compliance and governance (RICS, CIPFA)
