Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Senior Security & Fire Systems Engineer for aour Kent based client, with a clear progression path into a management role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on technical work and mentoring others, with aspirations to transition into leadership and client-facing responsibilities.
What You'll Be Doing
*
Oversee small and large-scale projects in a senior engineering capacity.
*
Mentor and support fellow engineers, including providing remote troubleshooting assistance.
*
Carry out fault finding and repairs on:
*
Intruder Alarms: Pyronix, Orisec, Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Ajax (wired & wireless)
*
Fire Alarms: Advanced, Kentec, C-Tec, Fike, Smartcell, Electro-Detectors (Apollo, XP95, Reach systems)
*
CCTV: Hikvision, Videcon, IP & Analogue (static, PTZ, thermal)
*
Access Control & Intercoms: Paxton, CDVI, Videx, Comelit, Intratone, Hikvision
*
Gate Automation: BFT, FAAC, CAME, safety systems
*
Configure and troubleshoot networks, routers, bridges, and integrated system setups.
*
Liaise with a wide client base – from domestic to commercial and industrial – offering problem-solving and system advice.
*
Support customer sales visits, provide technical consultations, and produce professional quotations.
About You
*
Strong technical background across a broad range of security and fire systems.
*
Confident working independently and supporting team members remotely and onsite.
*
Excellent communication skills for both technical mentoring and customer engagement.
*
Experience or interest in progressing into a management role, with training and support provided.
*
A flexible approach to occasional out-of-hours support for fellow engineers (on-call paid separately).
*
Knowledge of gate automation and networking is a bonus.
Working Hours - Monday-Friday (Apply online only) + on call.
Salary - £40,000 - £45,000p/a
