Overview
My client is looking for a Passionate H&S Advisor to help create, drive and improve the H&S culture across the business. They are looking to add to their H&S team to meet the growing demand across the company and their sites as they continue to grow and develop their northwest based operations.
This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a strong safety culture.
Title: Senior H&S Advisor
Salary: £40k - £45k + Package
Location: Wigan
Sectors: Civil Engineering, Groundworks & Demolition
Responsibilities:
Managing SHEQ administration to ensure compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Conducting Site audits and ensuring company procedures & protocols are followed.
Act as a key point of contact for clients to ensure satisfaction from a H&S standpoint.
Promoting SHEQ best practices across the entire company workforce.
Maintaining and updating SHEQ registers.
Conducting site safety audits, safety stand-downs, and implementing ‘Take 5’ initiatives.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in a SHEQ role within construction or civil engineering
Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proficiency in SHEQ software, preferably Chime.
NEBOSH or equivalent in Health & Safety
Graduate/technical Member of IOSH
