What’s in it for me?
An opportunity to step into a senior role within a digital signage tech business based in Cambridge. You’ll be joining a small, focused 3-person team working on firmware and hardware for media players.
This team currently has a gap, and if you’re an engineer with experience taking products to market at high-volume manufacturing scale—someone who understands the challenges that come with that—you’ll thrive here. The company’s technology is performing exceptionally well in the marketplace, and there’s huge upside potential.
You’ll be the kind of person who can chair design reviews, interact directly with manufacturing partners, and help ensure successful product launches. In this role, you’ll work closely with the VP of Engineering and senior leadership.
What will I be doing?
You’ll join a tight-knit product development team and collaborate closely with both the software group and contract manufacturing partners. You’ll often be responsible for turning high-level design briefs into fully tested PCB assemblies, ready for mass production.
This role is a critical link between management, engineering, and manufacturing. You’ll play a key part in taking designs from concept to volume production.
We’re looking for an experienced engineer with a background in high-volume product development. You should have solid experience in analogue and digital electronics design, signal integrity, high-speed signalling, and power supply design.
Where will I be doing it?
You’ll be working for a highly profitable, American-owned tech business that has established a centre of engineering excellence in Cambridge. The technology is performing well in the market, and the company rewards its people with strong bonuses, above-market salaries, and regular interaction with senior management.
This is a hardware-focused role, so you’ll be expected to be in the office most of the time. That said, management trusts people to manage their own time. If you need to do the school run or occasionally work from home, that’s absolutely fine.
