Senior Learning & Development Manager (Maternity Cover) Oxfordshire (3 days a week in the office, 2 days from home) C£70K Basic Salary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) professional to take on a strategic leadership role within a dynamic, fast-growing global organisation. This position is responsible for shaping and driving a comprehensive global L&D strategy, ensuring high-impact learning experiences across multiple regions. The role involves leading a small team, implementing innovative learning solutions, and collaborating with senior business leaders to foster a culture of continuous development. This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract running from May 2025 to May 2026. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and inspire a small, dedicated L&D team to deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences. * Develop and execute a global L&D strategy, ensuring consistency while adapting to different markets and cultural nuances. * Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimisation of a Learning Management System (LMS) to support a diverse global workforce. * Design and deliver tailored learning pathways that align with business needs and regional requirements. * Build strong relationships with senior leadership to drive engagement and alignment with L&D initiatives. * Manage the L&D budget effectively, allocating resources strategically to maximise impact. Skills & Competencies: * Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to execute detailed plans effectively. * Excellent leadership and team development capabilities. * Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment. * A commitment to fostering a culture of learning and professional growth. Qualifications: * A relevant degree or professional certification in Learning & Development, HR, Organisational Development, or a related field is desirable. * Additional qualifications in instructional design, coaching, or digital learning tools would be advantageous. Experience: * Significant experience in a senior L&D role within a complex, global organisation, ideally within a high-growth or private equity-backed environment. * Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing an LMS across multiple regions. * Experience leading and developing a small team to deliver high-quality learning initiatives. * A strong background in designing and implementing effective learning strategies and programmes.
