Salary: £65,400 - £81,780 (Birmingham) or £94,560 (London)
Location: Birmingham or London, minimum 3 days in office (anchor day Tuesday)

I’m recruiting for a Senior Planning Counsel/Lawyer to join the in-house legal team of a nationally significant infrastructure project. This is a great opportunity to work at the forefront of UK planning law, advising on complex, high-profile matters.
Requirements:
Qualified solicitor, admitted in England & Wales with an active practising certificate
Strong, demonstrable experience in planning law.
Background in private practice or public sector/local government.
Experience with compulsory purchase matters.
Previous line management experience.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for delivering expert legal advice across a broad range of planning issues, including:
Town and Country Planning
Planning enforcement
Development consent and bespoke legislative frameworks
Compulsory purchase and associated compensation claims
Liaison with internal teams and external legal panel firms
Advising on planning law matters across the organisation’s land and property interests
