Job Description
A leading international electronics systems manufacturer is currently looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team at their Isle of Wight facility.
This position has become available due to continued growth across the business.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical components, products, and systems—supporting them from early-stage concepts through to manufacturing and integration.
Skills required for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role – Isle of Wight:
*
HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline)
*
Strong 3D CAD modelling and drawing skills (Siemens NX highly desirable, though others considered)
*
Experience with sheet metal, machined components, and mechanical assemblies
*
Ideally, experience designing enclosures for electronic components and an understanding of EMC
*
Hardware product design, including Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly
*
Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) is required
