Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join my clients team in their Wakefield, West Yorkshire offices. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive legal advice and services to private clients, focusing on areas such as wills , probate matters and lasting power of attorney. This position requires a strong understanding of private client law and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients while ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care whilst working with the Directors on business development. The role would be suitable for an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive looking to take a leading role within an established Private Client department whilst managing a varied caseload. Candidates must have at least 8 years’ PQE or the equivalent level of experience. A minimum of 3 days per week in the office would be required following a period of training. Experienced Candidates seeking part time work would also be considered. Duties • Provide expert legal advice on a range of private client matters including wills, probate and lasting power of attorney. Experience dealing with Court of Protection matters would be desirable. • Draft and review legal documents with precision, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. • Manage a diverse caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of client service. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their individual needs and providing tailored solutions. • Liaise with other professionals, such as financial advisors and accountants, to ensure comprehensive client service. • Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting private client matters to provide informed advice. • Supervise support staff, providing guidance and mentoring as necessary. Skills • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear explanations of complex legal concepts. • High level of attention to detail in drafting documents and managing case files. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality service delivery. • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues alike. • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to think critically under pressure. • A solid understanding of relevant legislation and best practices within private client law.
