Senior Quantity Surveyor
Carlisle CA6 4DP
£65-£70k plus car allowance
40hrs per week – Site-based – Mon-Fri
We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering the civils work on the Harker Substation project.
Duties
Managing all costs relating to the building and civil engineering projects
Ensuring projects are completed within the projected budget
Providing financial and commercial advice to the project team
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards
Experience and Qualifications
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors
Strong understanding of construction contracts, tender processes and cost control mechanisms
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Experience of NEC 4 Option A
