Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Southampton - Office-based, with occasional site visits Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum + Company Car Full-time, Permanent We are partnering with a reputable and growing civil engineering contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business experiencing sustained growth, with a strong pipeline of civils projects and increasing work with Tier 1 clients. As part of a strategic restructure within the commercial team, this role will play a key part in enhancing operational efficiency and supporting junior team members, while working closely with the company's senior leadership. Key Responsibilities ·Take commercial lead on a portfolio of civil engineering projects ·Provide line management and mentoring to team members within the commercial function ·Build and maintain strong working relationships with Tier 1 clients ·Manage NEC contracts, BOQs, valuations, variations, and change control ·Collaborate directly with the company's Directors on commercial planning and strategy Candidate Requirements ·Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role within the civil engineering sector ·Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts is essential ·Confident communicator with experience engaging directly with clients and key stakeholders ·Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience) ·Comfortable working full-time from the office, with occasional travel to project sites Package ·Salary: £60,000-£65,000 per annum (dependent on experience) ·Company vehicle provided ·Clear career progression pathway within a supportive team ·Opportunity to work on a diverse range of live and upcoming projects   FOOTNOTE: If you feel that you are right for this role technically, but the salary, location or seniority does not suit you specifically then please still feel free to send us your CV.
