The Company
A well-established and highly regarded main contractor who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of a Senior Quantity Surveyor. With a strong pipeline of work across London and the South East, this business has built a solid reputation for delivering high-quality projects valuing up to £350m across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of high-profile schemes from pre-construction through to final account. Reporting into a Commercial Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a team of surveyors, overseeing cost control, subcontractor management, procurement, valuations, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Lead commercial delivery on projects valued £50m+
Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and payments
Prepare and submit monthly CVRs and forecasts
Liaise with site teams, design teams, and clients to ensure commercial alignment
Provide mentorship and support to junior members of the commercial team
Ensure project profitability and manage risk effectivelyRequirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field
Minimum 7 years' experience with a UK main contractor
Proven track record delivering projects over £50m
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong contractual knowledge (JCT/Design & Build)What's in it for you?
