Job Description
A Tier 1 contractor in the water sector is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of two major pipe-laying projects. This role offers hybrid working from several office locations including Reading, Rickmansworth, Swindon, Redhill, and more.
About the Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll manage the commercial aspects of two high-value infrastructure schemes, ensuring effective contract administration and cost control. You'll be responsible for negotiating subcontractor terms, managing change, and mentoring junior staff. The role sits within a well-established commercial team on a long-term framework.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the commercial management of two major pipe-laying projects
Administer NEC contracts in accordance with project requirements
Lead subcontractor procurement and negotiate T&Cs
Prepare and manage cost reports, forecasts, and valuations
Provide guidance and support to junior commercial team membersRequirements
Strong background in utilities or civil infrastructure
In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts
Experience negotiating subcontractor agreements
Confident mentoring or leading junior staff
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similarWhat's on Offer
