️ Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Projects (Client-Facing)
📍 Locations: East India Dock / Moorgate / Cuffley (Site-based only – no remote work)
💼 Employment Type: Permanent, PAYE
💰 Salary: £80,000 – £105,000 (depending on experience)
🚀 Start Date: ASAP - 6 weeks
🎯 Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of high-value projects within a growing and highly regarded M&E and construction contractor. You will be the primary client-facing QS, working closely with internal delivery teams and external stakeholders on projects ranging from £100k up to £50–60 million in value.
This is a permanent PAYE role with clear growth potential, designed for someone who wants to take ownership, lead a small team, and build long-term relationships with both clients and supply chain.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
*
Lead commercial management on major projects, including a flagship site at East India Dock
*
Handle client-side QS responsibilities, including negotiation, reporting, and financial control
*
Work alongside a freelance Quantity Surveyor and freelance Assistant QS and wider full time commercial team
*
Produce and review applications, variations, CVRs, forecasts, and cashflow reports
*
Take a proactive role in developing people through projects – coaching junior staff
*
Attend and lead site meetings across Docklands, Moorgate, and Cuffley
*
Ensure commercial strategies align with project delivery objectives
✅ Candidate Profile
*
Proven experience in a Senior QS role, preferably on large-scale or fast-paced projects
*
Comfortable managing multiple projects or high-value individual schemes up to £50M+
*
Strong client-facing skills – able to represent the business at senior levels
*
Excellent command of contracts, procurement, and commercial risk management
*
Experience in M&E, construction, or fit-out projects is a plus
*
Data centre experience not essential – transferable experience welcome
*
Able to work fully onsite from day one (no hybrid/remote options)
