This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sarinitiy Pure team as a Senior Residential Care Worker in their newly opened 2-bedded home in Harrow. Become a part of their dedicated staff team offering therapeutic and nurturing support to empower young people to maximize their opportunities and aspirations.
Sarinitiy Pure offers comprehensive residential care to young people aged between 7-18 years, who have emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Working Pattern:
Full-time and part-time roles are available. The role requires a 2 on 4 off rota with sleep-ins. Some flexibility is required due to the nature of the role, as it is a 365-day service.
Join them in assisting vulnerable young individuals with emotional and behavioral difficulties, who require support with daily activities such as education, life skills, and enjoying a range of activities and hobbies.
Sarinitiy Pure offers support to their workers through a comprehensive induction program when you first join them. After completing your training, you will become familiar with your role by meeting your team and completing shadow shifts, which will help you ease into your duties. Managers will be on hand to offer assistance and guidance whenever required.
Essential Requirements:
Passionate about helping children
Able to complete a rota pattern with sleep-ins
Facilitate and coordinate the day by planning and preparing handovers, ensuring handover information is correct and available, and recorded accurately, with any tasks that need to be carried over to the next day.
Take responsibility for the communication flow across the day with all team members, ensuring information is recorded clearly, and any incomplete tasks are handed over with a reason provided.
Check that all tasks are completed and allocate duties to team members.
Ensure Care Plans and Risk Assessments are followed, ensuring all adults have read and are aware of each young person’s Individual Placement Plans, Risk Assessments, and programs. Risk Assessments for outings are completed.
Ensure incident/accident forms are filled in correctly before staff leave the building and made accessible for management attention/signing off.
Hold a de-briefing session before adults leave the home.
Plan activities with the team at handover and ensure they take place throughout the day.
Facilitate time for key carers to complete key tasks, such as preparing Care Plans and Risk Assessments.
Ensure home-making and administrative tasks are followed, and that all relevant paperwork and log books are up-to-date, with staff clear about their responsibilities.
Raise any concerns with the Manager on duty/on-call, including child protection issues, whistleblowing, minor/major incidents, or contacting emergency services/social workers/on-call team.
Ensure young people's bedrooms are personalized, and activities/toys are ready for the young person.
Adhere to Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedures.

Salary based on a pay rate of £13.00 - £14.25 per hour for days (depending on qualifications) and working an average of 11 shifts (with sleep-ins) per month, paid at £50 per sleep-in.
Experience:

Residential childcare: 2 years (preferred)
*
Experience working with young people with complex needs in a residential setting is desirable.
*
Effective characteristics and personality to handle challenging situations.

Ability to place young people at the centre of all practice and decision-making.
Licence/Certification:

Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England)

In person at the home in Harrow, near Rayners Lane.
