Location: Bideford, Devon
Setting: Residential Home (Learning Disabilities & Mental Health)
Hours: 35 hours per week, 3-week rolling rota (days and nights)
Pay Frequency: Every 28 days (13 pay periods per year)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our residential team in Bideford, supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. This role involves providing high-quality care, mentoring junior staff, and promoting independence and wellbeing for all residents.
Responsibilities:
Provide person-centred care and support for residents
Lead shifts and mentor junior staff
Administer medication and assist with daily activities
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and care standards
Maintain accurate care records and contribute to care planning
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Experience in residential care (learning disabilities/mental health)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Flexible, reliable, and person-centred
