A Day in the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, your responsibilities may include:

Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager when required
*
Supporting the team of Residential Care Workers with training and development
*
Implementing and communicating individual care plans
*
Maintaining accurate records for monitoring and evaluation
*
Contributing to team meetings to enhance communication and staff development
*
Providing direct care and support to young people
*
Encouraging engagement in education and social activities
*
Creating a safe, home-like environment through daily tasks such as meal preparation and cleaning
*
Organising and facilitating activities to promote wellbeing

Requirements

Ability to demonstrate values such as integrity, accountability, and a person-centred approach
*
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references covering at least two years (including all roles involving children or vulnerable people)
*
Desire to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (training provided)
*
Previous experience in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential
DBS and reference checks will be conducted in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices. The recruitment process may take time due to these essential checks.
