Job Description
Position: Senior Technical Coordinator – (Residential RC Frame Development)
Location: Barbican, London
Project: Phase 1 – 130 Residential Units (RC Frame)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Coordinator to join our clients team on a residential development in Barbican, comprising 130 RC frame units. As the Senior Technical Coordinator, you will be responsible for Gateway 2 applications, managing the design development process, and coordinating a range of complex external envelope packages through detailed design to delivery on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the coordination of Gateway 2 design submissions ensuring compliance with all building safety regulations. Manage and coordinate external consultants and specialist subcontractors across the following packages:
* Facades
* Windows & Glazing Systems
* Brickwork & Masonry Support
* SFS (Steel Framing Systems)
* Metalwork Interfaces
Additional Responsibilities:
* Oversee technical reviews, design sign-offs, and clash detection processes.
* Ensure timely delivery of construction information in line with the programme.
* Liaise with internal project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders.
* Attend and chair design and coordination meetings, tracking actions to completion.
* Support buildability reviews and provide technical solutions to on-site queries.
Requirements:
* Minimum 4 years of technical coordination experience within residential construction.
* Strong knowledge of RC frame and high-rise residential construction.
* Demonstrable experience managing external envelope packages from design through to installation.
* Familiarity with Gateway 2 requirements under the Building Safety Act.
* Experience working with tier one developers or main contractors.
