Senior Civil Water Engineer – Dundalk, Ireland
Permanent | Full-Time | Hybrid Working
We are delighted to be working with a leading international engineering consultancy, currently seeking to appoint a Senior Civil Water Engineer for their expanding team in Dundalk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chartered Civil Engineer to join an inclusive and forward-thinking organisation playing a key role in shaping Ireland’s infrastructure.
This role offers the chance to work on transformational water and wastewater programmes with real-world impact, as well as iconic engineering projects both nationally and internationally.
The Role:
As a Senior Civil Water Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of complex water and wastewater projects across all project stages. You will have the opportunity to influence the development of sustainable infrastructure and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Ireland and abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver civil engineering designs for water and wastewater schemes, from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
Prepare briefs, scopes of work, technical specifications and input to tender proposals.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated solutions.
Manage or support the management of project budgets, timelines, and risks.
Ensure compliance with quality and technical standards and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
About You:
Chartered Civil Engineer with recognised professional qualifications.
Proven experience in the design and delivery of water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic modelling, treatment technologies, storage solutions, and network systems.
Experience in Design & Build and multidisciplinary collaboration is desirable.
Commercially aware with understanding of contract and programme management.
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work independently when required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
