Workshop Engineer – Horticultural Machinery
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Salary: £16 per hour
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to carry out the repair, assembly, and maintenance of horticultural machinery. This is a hands-on, workshop-based position reporting directly to the Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Service, repair, and assemble horticultural equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools and software
Perform maintenance on a variety of utility, garden, and small agricultural machinery
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
Deliver excellent customer service when required (in person or by phone)
Essential Skills and Experience:
Previous experience with horticultural or grass machinery (domestic or professional)
Comfortable using the latest diagnostic software
Capable of working independently and as part of a team
Physically fit – role involves heavy lifting (with assistance where needed)
Full UK driving licence
