Sewing Machinist
Job type: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Wigton (Rural)
Pay rate: £12.75/Hr.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am - 2:30pm, Friday 6am-1pm (Shift may be subject to change).
We are currently looking for a Sewing Machinist to join our client. The ideal candidate will have prior experience using industrial sewing machines, however this is not necessary. You'll be a key part of the production process, stitching mattress panels, borders, and covers to specification.
Responsibilities
* Operate industrial sewing machines (e.g. overlock, flatbed, twin needle) to stitch various mattress components.
* Sew fabric and other upholstery materials to size, following detailed instructions or templates.
* Ensure all products are sewn to quality standards and production targets.
* Perform regular machine checks and report any maintenance issues.
* Work with other team members and departments to ensure smooth production flow.
* Follow health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean working area.
