Job Title: Shift Electrician
Location: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £45,000 per year (including shift allowance)
Additional Pay: Up to £4,300 per year for AP duties after training
We’re hiring on behalf of our client for a Shift Electrician to join their facilities team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
About the Role:
As a Shift Electrician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing key electrical systems in a hospital environment. You’ll work a rotating shift pattern as part of a professional M&E team, supporting both planned maintenance and urgent reactive work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform electrical PPM and reactive maintenance on hospital systems
* Diagnose faults and source replacement parts
* Work to safety and compliance standards, including permit to work systems
* Support wider M&E and project work as needed
What We're Looking For:
* Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship
* Experience in electrical maintenance (hospital setting desirable)
* Strong fault-finding skills and technical knowledge
* Basic Disclosure Scotland required or willing to obtain
