Job Title: Shift Engineer
Salary: £43,000 - £53,000
Shift Pattern: 7am -7pm/ 7pm-7am (Rotating days and night shift)
Location: Hereford
About the Role
Our client are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled shift engineer to join a dynamic engineering team.
Working for a well-known, global FMCG Manufacturer, this position will provide you the opportunity in progressing and developing your career.
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you will perform both scheduled and reactive maintenance while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve equipment faults promptly using Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
* Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery.
* Collaborate with production, technical, and hygiene teams to ensure seamless operations.
* Prioritize health, safety, and compliance with all site procedures.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
What We’re Looking For:
* Electrical or Mechanical engineering experience, ideally within manufacturing
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
