Job Description
Are you a passionate and experienced SEN professional with a talent for supporting children with severe learning difficulties and managing challenging behaviour?
We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton to recruit a dedicated 1:1 SEN Specialist to support a child with complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life within a supportive and well-resourced school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a child with severe learning difficulties, adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
Manage and respond to challenging behaviour in a calm, patient, and effective manner.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver tailored interventions.
Support the child's social and emotional development as well as academic progress.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular reviews of the child's progress and support plan.
Requirements:
Proven experience supporting children with severe learning difficulties and managing challenging behaviour.
A nurturing, resilient, and adaptable approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
