SEND Teaching Assistant
Sheffield, S35
£110 per day
Start date: 2nd June 2025
Contract type: Temp - Mat cover until July 2025
Working hours: Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm. Term time only
Unique School Solutions are supporting a large Secondary School in Sheffield who are needing a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in their SEND unit within school. The role will be working within the SEND unit and potentially in classes, supporting students aged 11-16 with a variety of needs. You will work alongside other Teaching Assistants, under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers. The role is to start in June 2025, covering maternity leave until the end of the academic year in July 2025.

Essential requirements for the role:
* Previous experience within the last 2 years of working with children/young adults with Special Educational Needs. This doesn't have to be in a school setting
* The ability to build rapport with young learners
* The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative
