Job Description
NES Fircroft are currently recruiting a SSOW Coordinator for our client, a major engineering services provider, on a site in Grangemouth Scotland. This is a 3-6 month project working 60hrs per week. Ltd Co options available.
Responsibilities:
Issue permits under Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) to nominated personnel under set procedures
Supporting HSE related to the Mechanical Construction activities
Coordination of all work activities that will take place in a daily Coordination meeting with Mechanical Supervisors.
Experience and Qualifications
IOSH Managing Safely or working towards a NEBOSH General certificate
Broad knowledge of engineering practices
Previous SSOW coordinator / control of work experience
Provide evidence of a good working knowledge of process operations and SSOW procedures
Ability to maintain accurate, concise, legible records in the SSOW office
Knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical isolation process & Procedures
Previous experience working in a COMAH Site Environment
CDM Compliance
Provide evidence of self-motivation with demonstrable levels of drive, energy and resilience
Demonstrable ability to make safe decisions including when under pressure
Demonstrable effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
