About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Structural Engineer with at least 3 years of post-graduate experience to join our clients’ dynamic team in High Wycombe. The ideal candidate will hold a Masters’ degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have hands-on experience with Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and MasterSeries software. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct structural engineering analysis, design, and detailing for a range of projects using Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and Masterseries.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
* Assist with the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and design documentation.
* Contribute to the creation of 3D models and BIM deliverables, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
* Ensure that designs and solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
* Support the integration of AutoCAD and Revit in project designs and BIM workflows.
* Continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development.
Key Requirements:
* A Masters’ degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
* At least 3 years of post-graduate experience working in a structural engineering role.
* Proficiency in using Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and Masterseries for structural design and analysis.
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, building codes, and regulations.
* Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its application in structural engineering projects.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit for creating and modifying design drawings and models.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* A keen interest in professional development and staying updated with industry trends.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in the use of BIM for structural coordination and collaboration.
* Previous experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
* Knowledge of additional software or tools used in structural or civil engineering design would be a plus.
